The Gatton College is pleased to announce a new level of support for students – the Professional Resource Center (PRC). This center will offer a one-stop shop for current and potential graduate students. The goals for this initiative are to enhance recruitment efforts and provide greater academic support for the MS and MBA programs; while helping our students with career success and navigation through this challenging time.
The economic impact of the pandemic has many recent (and not-so-recent) graduates considering alternate paths. In fact, a recent study by Handshake showed that 58% of college students nationally are focusing on applying to graduate school or professional certificate programs rather than pursuing jobs or internships.

Current working professional and alum of the Professional MBA program at the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics, Nicole Bianco, is starting her own online nutrition coaching service. As a registered dietitian and nutritionist, Nicole is motivated by improving athletic performance through the empowerment of elite athletes with evidence-based, nutrition-related tools and practices.
The MBA program at the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics welcomes the 2020-2021 One Year MBA cohort which started the first week of June 2020 and will graduate in May 2021.
The Lexington-Fayette County Board of Health has elected University of Kentucky MBA alum Michael Friesen as chair for the 2020-21 fiscal year effective July 1.
The Gatton College of Business and Economics would like to spotlight and recognize UK MBA alum, Vishnu Jayamohan, for his engagement and contributions. Vishnu currently serves as Senior Manager, Product Lifecycle Strategy and Marketing at Nissan, and has had a very successful career in the automotive industry.
"This is my last message to you since I am retiring in August. When I look back over my nine years at Gatton, the one word comes to mind is gratitude. I was privileged to work with Associate Deans who cared so deeply about the program and taught me so much about navigating the maze called higher education. My thanks to Steve Skinner, Ken Troske and Paul Childs who were always there to support our initiatives.
