The University of Kentucky MBA program at the Gatton College of Business and Economics welcomes all working professionals, industry leaders and executives in Kentucky (and beyond) to learn more about Gatton's professional MBA programs at the upcoming Professional MBA Virtual Open House. 


A paper by Charlie Clarke, "The Level, Slope and Curve Factor Model for Stocks" is forthcoming in the Journal of Financial Economics.   Abstract: 


Gatton College of Business and Economics students Ben Davison, Jaclyn Fischesser, Luke Schlake, Wyatt Flick, and Caleb Buckman triumphed in the 2021 Econ Games  -  an annual data competition co-founded by Dr. Abdullah Al-Bahrani (Northern Kentucky University) and Dr. Darshak Patel (University of Kentucky). 


For recent graduates and full-time working professionals who want to enhance their careers as organizational strategic partners, the Gatton College is launching the new Master of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management and Analytics (MS-SHRMA) and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management. The programs will begin in fall 2021.


Resources for the Future is an independent, nonprofit research institution in Washington, DC. with a mission to improve environmental, energy, and natural resource decisions through impartial economic research and policy engagement.


University of Kentucky MBA alumna at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, Yajaira Aich West, was recently selected and recognized in the "Top Women in Business" by the Lane Report. 


“Take the opportunity if you see it. If you can’t, create it.” – is the motto of UK Wildcat Xuanhao Wo, who believes in creating his own opportunities for career growth. Unlike other internship opportunities, his current job as a finance intern didn’t exist when he applied. He earned it instead.


Monika Causholli's paper co-authored with Gatton PhD student Evisa Bogdani and Robert Knechel (University of Florida) titled "The Role of Assurance in Equity Crowdfunding" has been accepted for publication at The Accounting Review. 


The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics will host Wall Street Prep's M&A and LBO Modeling Virtual Boot Camp on April 10-11, 2021. The virtual seminar will be of particular interest to students pursuing careers in investment banking, private equity, portfolio management, business and corporate development, capital markets, equity and credit research, and industry corporate finance.     


Gatton College Dean Simon J. Sheather has been named as the first holder of the Truist Chair in Data Analytics.
