One Day For UK is your day to make a difference for our Gatton College.
On April 17, the University of Kentucky is rallying faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends and fans to support One Day for UK, a 24-hour day of giving during which donors can support the college or cause of their choice.
Alicia Irwin and Dan Stone’s presentation, “How to Win Firms and Influence Students - Teaching Accounting Data Visualization” was accepted for presentation at the American Accounting Association's Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting (CTLA).
The Gatton College of Business and Economics is proud to announce the results from the second annual stock pitch competition at the University of Kentucky. Sponsored by the Department of Finance and Quantitative Methods, the competition was open to all students enrolled full-time in undergraduate or master’s-level programs at the University of Kentucky. The Gatton College and the Finance Society coordinated in organizing the competition.
The University of Kentucky MBA case team placed 2nd in the recent 7th Annual SEC MBA Case Competition, which was hosted this year at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business. These graduate level competitions provide an opportunity for SEC business schools to showcase their students’ skills at solving simulated, real-world problems that cover the spectrum of business disciplines.
Adib Bagh’s paper, “Preserving Bidder Privacy in Assignment Auctions: Design and Measurement" (with De Liu, University of Minnesota) is forthcoming in Management Science.
Surrounded by family, friends and fellow alumni, two exceptional University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics alumni will be honored by the college April 11. Dr. Claire Pomeroy will be inducted into the Gatton College Alumni Hall of Fame, while Sarah E. Sanders will be the inaugural honoree of the Distinguished Young Alumni Award.
Brian Murtha has been invited to serve on the editorial review board for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Sciences.
