A partnership among the City of Lexington, the University of Kentucky, Commerce Lexington and Coastal Cloud announced the creation of a new UK Salesforce Consultancy Incubator Program yesterday.
As part of the new program, Coastal Cloud will train students, recent college graduates and new or aspiring Salesforce administrators to become effective Salesforce consultants. The Salesforce company creates digital platforms for customer relationship management, assisting businesses with marketing, sales, commerce, service and IT support.
Research Associate Michael T. Childress and Associate Professor Michael W. Clark join 43 other authors to develop a new book, “Communicating Science in Times of Crisis: COVID-19 Pandemic." It is a first volume in a new series about the study of science communication in times of crisis and features research and analysis from University of Kentucky faculty. Darshak Patel's paper, "Can financial literacy education reduce the use of Medicaid and SNAP?" co-authored with Abdullah Al Bahrani (UKY Economics PhD `10 and associate professor of economics at Northern Kentucky University) and Jamie Weathers (assistant professor of Finance at Western Michigan University) recently published in Financial Services Review.
Current management and marketing major at the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics and Women’s Golf student athlete, Jensen Castle, recently won the U.S Women’s Amateur Golf Championship becoming the first player in UK’s history to win.
"Still hasn't registered," Castle said. "It feels like just another tournament, but then I step back and I'm like, this is a USGA event with so much history, and I just can't imagine."
