The Gatton College of Business and Economics is proud to recognize Kenneth Troske, PhD, Richard W. and Janis H. Furst Endowed Chair in Economics, for his role as a co-author on a newly released National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) report.
The report, Economic and Social Mobility: New Directions for Data, Research, and Policy, provides a forward-looking framework for understanding and addressing the key factors that shape upward mobility in the United States. Areas of focus include: 1) Early Life and Family; (2) Space and Place; (3) Postsecondary Education; (4) Wealth, Credit, and Debt; and (5) Data Infrastructure.
To further explore the report’s findings, the National Academies will host a public webinar on September 22, 2025. Members of the study committee—including Dr. Troske—will share insights and recommendations for improving social and economic mobility in the U.S.
