Lamarche Presentations on Dynamic Panels

Carlos Lamarche presented his paper “Common Correlated Effects Estimation of Heterogeneous Dynamic Panel Quantile Regression Models” at the University of San Andres (June 13), Central Bank of Argentina (June 22), and Di Tella University (June 28) in Argentina. The paper is joint work with Matthew Harding (University of California at Irvine) and Hashem Pesaran (University of Southern California).

Lamarche visits University of La Plta (Argentina)

Carlos Lamarche visited the University of La Plata (UNLP) in Argentina from June 5th to June 30th. In the first two weeks of June, he gave four lectures on “High-Dimensional Methods and Inference: A Hands-On Approach” in the Department of Economics.

Ken Troske has publication on Returns to GED

Ken Troske's paper "Postsecondary Educational Returns to the GED Using Regression Discontinuity Analysis,” (with Christopher Jepsen and Peter Mueser), appeared in the July 2017 volume of Journal of Labor Economics.

Gatton Doctoral Student Selected to Attend Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics doctoral student Andrew Jonelis (pictured below) has been selected to attend the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting this August in Germany. Attendance at the sixth meeting for economic sciences will establish Jonelis’ place as one of the leading economists of the next generation.
