Ph.D. Student Andrew Jonelis's paper quoted in the Financial Times

Andrew Jonelis, an Economics Ph.D. student, recently had a paper on which he was a co-author cited in the Finanical Times.  The paper, on African government debt, was written while Andrew was an intern an the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the summer of 2016.

Ana Maria Herrera recently presented "The Effect of Oil Supply Shocks on US GDP. What Have we Learned?" at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the Society for Economic Measurement meetings in Boston, MA. She has been elected fellow of the International Center for Emerging Markets Research Energy Industry program at RUDN (Moscow).

Darshak Patel's paper  "Evaluating Twitter and its Impact on Student Learning in Principles of Economics Courses," (with Abdullah Albahrani (UK PhD) and Brandon Sherdian (UK PhD)) has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Economic Education. It is scheduled to be published in the Fall 2017 issue of the journal.

Darshak Patel's paper  “The Impact of Relative Performance Feedback and Scrutiny on Student Performance in Large Enrollment University Classes.” was present by co-author Justin Roush at the Seventh Annual American Economics Association (AEA) Conference on Teaching and Research in Economic Education (CTREE) held May 31 – June 2, 2017 in Denver.
