Renee Mercado serves as the Department Academic Administrator for the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain. She brings a strong professional background spanning education, insurance, entrepreneurship, and higher education administration.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education, with Reading and ESOL endorsements, along with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts. Her foundation in special education has equipped her with a deep understanding of different learning needs, individualized support strategies, and student-centered educational practices.
Renee later transitioned into the insurance industry, where she obtained licensure in Health and Life insurance and gained experience with Property and Casualty licensing. With more than 10 years of administrative experience, she offers strong expertise in collaboration, customer service, organization, and process improvement.
She is passionate about supporting educational environments, fostering meaningful relationships, and contributing to teams that value innovation, communication, and student success.
