Marian Turcan serves as the Director of Digital Learning and Lecturer at the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics. In this dual capacity, he leads strategic initiatives for learning technology integration while teaching and assisting faculty in the creation of high-impact multimedia materials and engaging learning activities.
Previously, Marian served as the Instructional Designer for Gatton, where he focused on enhancing pedagogical workflows through innovative digital solutions. His extensive background in academia includes a tenure from 2011–2019 at Clemson University, where he was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Youth, Family and Community Studies. During his time at Clemson, he also acted as the Instructional Designer and Technology Coordinator for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP), managing online content delivery and providing technical consultation for blended and online course design.
Earlier in his career, Marian gained strong international and technical experience as a Data Analyst and IT Consultant for Clemson University, and as a Program Assistant for the Alumni Resource Center at the U.S. Embassy in Moldova.
