Born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, Illinois, Lisa Nicole is a proud product of the Chicago Public School System. A natural born athlete, she played volleyball and Division 1 basketball in Florida before transferring to a private liberal arts university in Indiana. As a proud first-generation student, Lisa Nicole has earned her bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies with a specialty in Japanese Language and Culture from DePauw University and her Master of Arts degree in Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs from the University of Northern Iowa.

Lisa Nicole is a higher education professional who is passionate about diversity, inclusion, education access and student advocacy. She has had the honor of serving in many different capacities, namely as a leader in recruiting, as the director of multicultural centers and as a manager of diversity initiatives. Lisa Nicole treasures her relationships with all students and is serious about their development and successful matriculation through their college journeys and beyond.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Lisa Nicole is gastronome who enjoys cooking and baking in the tradition of her foremothers. She is an active member of the Lexington Urban League Young Professionals, a hometown host with VisitLex, and a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Her plants know that they are African American. Lisa Nicole is excited to continue pouring into the lives of great students in Gatton College of Business.
