Jade Chen joined the University of Kentucky as an assistant professor of accounting in 2026. Prior to joining UK, she was an assistant professor at Loyola Marymount University. Her research examines human capital in auditing, the accounting labor market and accounting and auditing regulation. Her work has been published in the Journal of Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and AUDITING: A Journal of Practice & Theory. Before pursuing an academic career, she worked at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Shanghai.
