LEXINGTON, KY – 27 February 2025 – The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics recently hosted its 6th Annual Sales Competition on February 27, 2025. The event, a cornerstone of the Gatton Sales Program, provided students with real-world sales experience and connected them with leading industry professionals.
This year's competition saw a record-breaking 38 students showcase their selling skills, following a Sales Career Night that drew 60 students eager to explore career opportunities. The event was made possible through the generous support of ten corporate sponsors, with Dell Technologies serving as the Platinum sponsor and providing the sales scenario that tested the participants' skills.
"We have an amazing team of people here at Gatton that make this event very special every year," said Brian Murtha, Gatton Endowed Chair and professor. "I’m so grateful to them and to the inspiring, gritty students who step out of their comfort zones to compete in this wonderful event."
The competition featured a format where students engaged in simulated sales presentations judged and evaluated by industry professionals representing the sponsoring companies. The judges were able to provide students with direct feedback during their sessions as well as networking opportunities.
