Destin Hardesty was chosen as the Gatton Outstanding Senior by Gatton's Undergraduate Student Services. Having worked in the behavioral research lab in the Gatton College, she was nominated by her former academic advisor, Mason Stewart, for this award. During her time in Gatton and at UK, Destin completed two competitive internships with Coastal Cloud and Joule Financial. Professors also chose her to complete a research summer assistantship. An integral Alpha Chi Omega sorority member, she led her DanceBlue team in raising $11,000 for the kids.

“My dad, [David Hardesty] has been the best support system and encourages me to follow my dreams! He is my role model and teaches here at the college. I would love to follow in his footsteps as a professor at a business school—and perhaps even here in Gatton,” said Destin.

Stewart, Destin’s former academic advisor, said, “Destin has always had a clear vision and devotion to achieving anything she wants. She makes the most of every opportunity to become the best version of herself.”

Destin will graduate in May 2023 with a degree in Marketing and Psychology.

Destin was celebrated and honored with the Gatton Outstanding Senior award on Friday, April 14, at the annual Gatton Honors Day celebration. Congratulations Destin!
