The University of Kentucky defines international applicants as those with citizenship other than the United States of America. Permanent Residents of the United States should complete a domestic application and include a photocopy of their Permanent Resident card.

Freshmen Admissions

Applicants who have not attended a college or university upon completion of secondary school AND who have met all requirements including English proficiency.

Transfer Admissions

Applicants who have attended a college or university upon completion of secondary school AND who have met all requirements including English proficiency.

Partnership Students / Incoming Exchanges

Students coming from a partnership university have a streamlined and free application process. Credits from your home university can transfer towards your business degree and may allow a Gatton graduate degree to count towards your home university master's degree.

Graduate Admissions

Applicants that have completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky or another accredited university. Please click a program below for specific requirements for admissions.

Non-Degree Seeking Admissions

An individual attending UK for a prescribed program of academic activity which does not lead to a degree from UK may get a J-1 visa as a non-degree student and can stay on J status for up to 2 years.
