Tyler Kleppe Ph.D., CPA

Assistant Professor

Professor Kleppe joined the University of Kentucky in 2020 after earning a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas. He also holds a BBA in Accounting and a Master's in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is an active CPA. Prior to entering academia, he worked as a senior associate at Smith & Gesteland LLP in Madison, Wisconsin.

Professor Kleppe's research interests include accounting and auditing regulation, audit market structure, corporate governance, and the underlying economics of auditing. His research has been presented at conferences and universities across the globe, and his work has been featured on the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation and the Columbia Law School Blue Sky Blog on Corporations and the Capital Markets.
