With the generous support of PNC Bank and John Gohmann, the department hosted the 3rd annual PNC - Kentucky Finance Conference on April 26-28.

The conference received more than 300 submissions from 20 different countries and 35 different states. With only 12 papers being included on the final program, the acceptance rate of less than 4% places the conference in a similar class as the most exclusive finance journals in the world. In addition to our keynote speaker, Laura Starks from UT Austin, conference attendees included faculty from Wharton, UCLA, MIT, Yale, and Columbia.

Congratulations to Leonce Bargeron and Will Gerken who were both promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Finance & Quantitative Methods.

The competition brings students together with leaders from the investment community to showcase their skills in equity research and fundamental analysis, and to pitch stocks and get industry pros to evaluate them and give feedback on their work.
