LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 2, 2020) — The COVID-19 pandemic seems to present a textbook case study of a wicked problem: a challenge that is complex, contradictory, dynamic, and eludes our efforts to understand it in its totality. Among the effects of the pandemic is a general sense of uncertainty and confusion. How do we make sense of the enormous amount of information, news, narratives and effects related to the pandemic?
Beginning on June 22 and running through July 10, the LINKS Center at the University of Kentucky is offering a synchronous, online version of its annual summer workshop. The workshop consists of three tracks, two held in parallel, and a third held after the first two are completed.
On April 30, nine teams led by students, UK faculty and community members graduated from the Spring 2.0 Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp. The Bootcamp 2.0 program, run by the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship (VACE) in the Gatton College of Business and Economics, is an intensive program where teams selected from VACE’s Fall Bootcamp 1.0, work through early business and revenue models, customer validation and refining pitches.
