Mark Liu's paper, "Corporate Disclosure, Analyst Forecast Dispersion, and Stock Returns," is forthcoming in Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance.  The paper is authored by Ashiq Ali from UT Dallas, Mark Liu from the University of Kentucky, Tong Yao from the University of Iowa, and Danielle Xu from Gonzaga University.

Brad Jordan and Mark Liu had the following paper accepted for publication:  "Growth Opportunities, Short-Term Market Pressure, and Dual-Class Share Structure," B.D. Jordan, M. Liu, and S. Kim, Journal of Corporate Finance, forthcoming, 2016.  Soohyung Kim is a former UK PhD student, now at Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Aaron Yelowitz’s study “Impacts of the Affordable Care Act on Health Insurance Coverage in Medicaid Expansion and Non-Expansion States” (with Charles Courtemanche, James Marton, Benjamin Ukert and Daniela Zapata) has been accepted at Journal of Policy Analysis and Management.

UK Center for Poverty Research wins grant to study Poverty in US

The UK Center for Poverty Research, directed by Jim Ziliak, received a 5-year grant for $443,202 to partner with the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin to study poverty in the United States.

Lamarche talks Quantile Regression and Big Data at Kansas

Carlos Lamarche was invited by the Center for Research Methods and Data Analysis at the University of Kansas to present his work on Quantile Regression. On September 16th, he gave two talks titled “Estimating and Testing Panel Quantile Regression Models” and "A Panel Quantile Approach to Attrition Bias in Big Data: Evidence from a Randomized Experiment” (coauthored with M. Harding)
