Thomas Eugene Spragens Jr. is president of Farmers National Bank in Lebanon, Ky., where he also served as mayor. He was president of the UK National Alumni Association and received the National Alumni Service Award in 1994. He was president of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce Board, the founding president of the Marion County Industrial Foundation, president of the Kentucky Bankers Association and a Director of the Louisville branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He earned his accounting degree from UK, and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 1975. He and his wife, Nadine, endowed a scholarship at the Gatton College in memory of their son, Thomas Eugene Spragens III, who died shortly after his graduation from the college.
