Keith A. Carlson is founder and managing partner of Roebling Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in and building lower middle market companies. He is also a shareholder and managing director of mergers and acquisitions at Dean Dorton, where he leads advisory engagements for business owners navigating complex transactions. Carlson has closed more than 200 transactions as an investor or advisor, deploying over $500 million of capital in deals totaling more than $1.5 billion in enterprise value. He began his career as an investment banking analyst and later joined private equity firm CapitalSouth Partners where he was promoted from associate to vice president and led underwriting and execution for new investments. He currently serves on the University of Kentucky Finance Advisory Board, the board of Life Learning Center in Covington, Kentucky, and the boards of several portfolio companies. Raised in Russellville, Kentucky, Carlson developed an appreciation for entrepreneurship by watching his parents build businesses, a foundation that shaped his professional philosophy. He remains deeply connected to the Bluegrass State and the University of Kentucky, both of which played formative roles in his development as a leader and entrepreneur.
