John S. Cain, Ryland Heights, Ky., earned his degree in finance, accounting and German from UK in 1986 and earned his law degree from the Chase College of Law in 1993. At UK, Cain was Student Body President and Trustee to the UK Board of Trustees. He serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council, has served three terms on the UK Alumni Association board of directors, serves on the leadership advisory council, and is a UK Presidential Fellow. Cain is the recently retired president & CEO of Wiseway Supply and is immediate past chair of the National Association of Electrical Distributors. He also served as chair of the board of IMARK Electrical, on the boards of directors of IMARK Plumbing and IMARK Group, as president of the Elite Distributor Insurance Company, past chair of the board of directors of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of directors of The Bank of Kentucky. He founded Performance Rental and co-founded Alliance Business Lending. He is a member of the 2002 class of Leadership Kentucky. He and his wife, Carla Dell Cain Crum (‘86 UK), have four daughters: Addison (‘14 UK), Hannah, Caroline, and Mary Jacqueline (‘22 UK, ‘27 UKCOM).
