• Faculty Senate voting via email opened today tomorrow and closes on Friday, April 17^th. If you use Focus/Other in your outlook, the email may be in Other.

General

• Hacked Zoom Accounts - There have been many stories regarding the security of zoom. You should know that your UK credentials that access zoom are on UK’s server not Zooms—anyone hacking Zoom cannot get your credentials. Your Zoom account through UK is only accessible if you lose control of your UK credentials. Do not decouple your UK credentials from Zoom and do not use private Zoom accounts. We have had no problems with UK Zoom accounts being hacked.
• As a follow up to Tuesday’s presentation, below you’ll see the responses from Employee Relations to the questions asked in the meeting. If you have other questions, please contact Christy Anderson or Shana Hall.
  • Are STEPs (Temporary Employees) eligible for the new leaves, EPSL and EFML? Yes, temporary employees are eligible. They follow the same process and can access the form via the HR link below.
  • Are the leaves available when schools are generally closed during the summer? To be eligible the school or childcare facility must be closed due to COVID-19.
  • Is the EPSL (Emergency Paid Sick Leave) retroactive? Yes, subject to approval. File the request as soon after the event as you are able.
