Doreen Matthes is a lecturer in the Department of Management at the Gatton College of Business and Economics where she focuses on teaching courses in the field of human resource management. Doreen earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University. Her research interests stem from her previous work experiences as an HR professional in Germany (Deutsche Telekom, Eisenmann) and the United States (Cedar Point, Cleveland Clinic) and involve workers’ behaviors related to work-life balance programs as well as nonstandard work arrangements including work arrangement choices, worker characteristics, career-related outcomes and recruitment for such arrangements.
Prior to joining Gatton College, Doreen was a full-time instructor at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She holds an MBA from Kent State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management Science from Leipzig University.
