Carol Chavez is a lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics. She also serves as associate director of the M.S. Supply Chain Management program and associate director of Supply Chain Outreach and Corporate Engagement.
Chavez teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain management, quality and lean operations, productivity, circularity and corporate social responsibility, emphasizing applied learning through simulations, case studies, and industry projects. Before joining Gatton College, Chavez accumulated more than 30 years of supply chain and leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, financial services, healthcare distribution and defense sectors.
Chavez holds an MBA from Saint Mary’s University, a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, and the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation.
