LEXINGTON, Ky. April 9, 2026 — The University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics hosted the 2026 UK Stock Pitch Competition on April 9 in Woodward Hall, bringing together student teams to present investment recommendations and demonstrate their analytical and presentation skills.
The competition challenges students to evaluate publicly traded companies and deliver a structured pitch, simulating the type of analysis and communication required in investment and finance roles.

1st place: Colin Albrecht and Oliver Liang 2nd place: Logan Kane, Curtis Beavers and Stellan Knopp 3rd place: Samrat Gurung and John Sharma 4th place: Seth Smith, Brianna Fusz, Logan Noyes and Luca Milici
Teams were evaluated on the strength of their investment thesis, supporting analysis and ability to clearly communicate their recommendations to judges.
The event provides students with an opportunity to apply concepts from finance coursework in a competitive, real-world setting while receiving feedback from industry professionals.
