Gatton's innovative Four Year Professional BSBA/MSACC Program degree allows students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting, complete a professional internship in accounting, and pass the CPA exam within four years.
Students will earn their BSBA undergraduate degree within three years by attending summer classes and will complete a professional accounting internship during the spring semester of the third year. During the fourth year of study, students will complete the MSACC degree and sit for the CPA exam in conjunction with the graduate coursework.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be accepted into the Four Year Professional BSBA/MSAC Program:
Students in the program must maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.4 at UK and earn no grade lower than a B in each accounting course taken. If a candidate does not maintain at least a 3.4 GPA, he or she will have one semester to bring the overall GPA back up to a 3.4 or be dismissed from the scholars program.
Candidates are exempted from taking the GMAT exam for admission into the MSACC program.
Students in the program are required to join Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) once they meet the eligibility criteria. BAP is an honors fraternity in accounting which sponsors many community service events, and meetings with national, regional and local firms. Click here to learn more about Beat Alpha Psi.
