Gatton's Abby Benton's Family is UK "Family of the Year" The University of Kentucky Parent and Family Association is honoring student Abby Benton and her family as "Family of the Year" at this year's Family Weekend celebration.

Parents and families play a valuable role in the lives of students. While a student's life changes as they transition into college, so do the lives of the family members who send them off to school. Through that major life transition, family support is vital.

KPMG Appoints Gatton's Jeff Payne 2019 KPMG James Marwick Professor-In-Residence

Audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG LLP has named University of Kentucky professor Jeff Payne, KPMG Professor in the Von Allmen School of Accountancy in UK’s Gatton College of Business and Economics, as the 2019 KPMG James Marwick Professor-In-Residence. Payne believes accounting students should understand the opportunities that technology provides in improving financial statement audits, but also importantly, the new risks that are created by their use.

Courtemanche and Yelowitz cited in Council of Economic Advisors study

The Council of Economic Advisers recently released a study on deregulating health insurance markets. It cites a 2017 study on the Affordable Care Act by Charles Courtemanche and Aaron Yelowitz in the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management.
