A team of undergraduate students from the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics earned second place in the nation this past weekend at the 2016 Wall Street Journal Business Challenge. The competition was hosted by the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in College Station. The team members are:

The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics presented the second annual Commonwealth Supply Chain Innovation Award, sponsored by SAS, to Elizabeth Fox, senior supply planner at Tempur-Pedic North America LLC, part of Tempur Sealy, which has its world headquarters here in Lexington.
With its first class graduating just three months ago (December 2015), the joint University of Kentucky-University of Louisville Executive MBA program is already being ranked in the top tier. Recently, the UK-UofL EMBA became the only program in the region ranked in CEO Magazine's Tier One Global EMBA programs for 2016.
Rob Hartley, a 3rd year PhD student, was accepted to participate in the 3rd Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality - Chicago 2015. The program focuses on new methods of inequality research to address interdisciplinary insights of human behavior through economic models. This research forum is hosted by the Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group led by Nobel Laureate James J. Heckman, Steven N. Durlauf, and Robert H. Dugger.
Jim Ziliak and 2013 PhD alum Sarah Burns had their paper "Identifying the Elasticity of Taxable Income" accepted for publication in The Economic Journal.
