Wilhelm wins Best Paper Award

Jana Wilhelm, Instructor in the Von Allmen School, received the Best Paper Award for 2017 Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting of  the American Accounting Associations for her Paper with Paul Wilhelm (Sullivan University) "Proposed Multidimensional Fraud Risk Models: Auditing for Dark Tetrad Individuals and Their Opposites in Organizations."

Causholli presentations in Spain, Italy

Monika Causholli presented her paper titled "Ties that bind: Knowledge sharing networks and auditor job performance" co-authored with Theresa Floyd, Nicole Jenkins and Scott Soltis at The European Accounting Association annual meeting in Valencia (Spain), The University of Pisa (Italy), and The Free University of Bolzano (Italy).

Causholli, Jenkins, Soltis Win Best Paper "Best Overall Paper" Recognized by the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association

Von Allmen School faculty members Monika Causholli and Nicole Thorne Jenkins, and Scott Soltis from Gatton's Department of Management, along with co-author Theresa Floyd (University of Montana) were recognized with the 2017 Midyear Meeting Best Overall Paper Award by the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association. The Award recognizes an outstanding paper that was presented at the meeting. 

Bratten, Causholli named to Professorships

Two Von Allmen School of Accountancy professors have been recognized and awarded for their ongoing research, teaching, and service achievements to Gatton College of Business and Economics. Brian Bratten has been named the Clark Material Handling Associate Professor, while Monika Causholli has been named the Deloitte Foundation Associate Professor. Congratulations to both for continuing commitment to excellence in their field.

Kristine Hankins Publishes in Review of Financial Studies

Professor Kristine Hankins’ paper, “Risk Management with Supply Contracts”, coauthored with Heitor Almeida (Illinois, NBER) and Ryan Williams (Arizona), has been accepted for publication at the Review of Financial Studies.
