Stephen C. Harris `82 and Elaine K. Harris `84 have recently established the Harris Family Business Scholarship at the Gatton College of Business and Economics. The scholarship will ensure that deserving students have additional access to much-needed financial support. It will foster opportunities for continued learning and success at the Gatton College and beyond.
Through the newly established Laura J. and Jerry T. Miller Endowed Scholarship, Laura Miller `73 and Rep. Jerry T. Miller `73 are offering an opportunity for an incoming sophomore to receive financial support to complete their Gatton degree. They have also made contributions to the Gatton Capital Campaign with a named classroom, and have also made posthumous arrangements to give ten percent of their estate in order to assist a greater number of students.

As LeanCor’s Training and Development Manager and with 100 new team members and more than 350 Lean Six Sigma Green Belts trained through the years, Clint has managed to stay connected with the university in various ways.

Five University of Kentucky alumni are putting their degrees to work by showing support for front-line workers and local restaurants. With backgrounds in business and medicine, Michael Zhu, Jodi Llanora, Kyle Luo, Logan Jones and John Stein refused to feel helpless in the fight against COVID-19. “The original idea for Feed the Front Line originated in Houston and started to make its way to other cities,” Zhu said. “When our team heard about the mission of the organization, it immediately resonated. We love the double-sided impact.”

A group of more than 20 people decided to create handmade masks for healthcare workers and people in the community. "I have always been sewing, and so when people said they needed masks I just started sewing and then got involved in this," says Olivia Davis.
