Steven Lugauer is an associate professor of economics and the director of graduate studies for economics at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics. His research into the macroeconomic implications of population aging, changing fertility patterns and household saving decisions has been published in academic journals such as the Economic Journal, the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, and the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. He is an award-winning teacher and he has advised more than 30 undergraduate and graduate level researchers who have gone on to some of the top institutions in the world. His current research focuses on the topics of climate change and investing in outer space exploration.
