Upon graduating from high school, I joined the U.S. Army where I served for 10 years both in the Infantry and later in Military Intelligence - serving in Panama, Alaska, and several state-side tours.I left the Army in a 1982 to attend Brigham Young University from 1982 - 1985. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University in 1985. I then attended Utah State University and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 1986.Upon graduation from Utah State University, I worked for 20 years for Kemet Electronics Corporation as a Finance and Accounting Manager in Matamoros, Mexico (18 years) and two years at Corporate Headquarters in Greenville, SC. After working at Kemet for several years, I took and passed the CPA Exam.I left Kemet in 2006 and have been working since that time as a Farmer/Rancher and as a Full-time Lecturer in Accounting (10 years at the University of Kentucky and 3 years at Eastern Kentucky University).
