Sung-Yuan (Mark) Cheng is a Ph.D. candidate at the Von Allmen School of Accountancy. His research primarily focuses on corporate sustainability reporting and disclosure, and the application of new technologies in financial accounting research. His dissertation applies computational image processing to explore how Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) creators’ mobile app usage affects their creative performance and the market prices of their work. Cheng is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies, he worked as a senior auditor at PwC’s Taipei office, where he provided audit and tax services for companies in the chemistry, oil & gas, and electric vehicle industries. He earned a master's degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree in finance from National Taiwan University.
