This summer, the Gatton College of Business and Economics is offering individuals the opportunity to learn proven strategies and practical, hands-on tools to drive successful project outcomes — on time and within budget. The ten-session Project Management Professional Learning Series will take place over the summer in the evenings beginning in May and concluding in July. "With experienced project managers leading this program, attendees will learn from real-world examples and gain insights into the concepts, terms, tools, and techniques needed to communicate about, organize, and monitor projects effectively. Whether participants are new to project management or looking to enhance their skills, this program will provide valuable knowledge and practical tips that can be applied in various settings,” said, David Blackwell Ph.D., Associate Dean for Professional Graduate Programs.
This full program serves as the foundation on which all other project management development builds. It will provide 35 hours of educational credit from the Project Management Institute (PMI)® for those seeking their Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or 35 professional development units (PDUs) for those already certified.
Instructors:
Kellie McDermott, PMP®, DASSM®, has more than 12 years of experience providing training management, instructional design, and facilitation services. She is certified as a trainer through the Project Management Institute's Train the Trainer Program and is passionate about teaching others about project management best practices. Cory Camic, PMP®, DASSM®, has over 20 years of experience in the training and consulting industry, with proven ingenuity in the areas of team development and management, as well as leveraging solutions-based project management techniques to increase project success.
