To update your web profile please refer to the fields below for how to enter information into Faculty Success.
Faculty Success (FS) can be accessed by:
- Logging into myUK
- Selecting the "Faculty Services" tab
- Selecting "Faculty Success"
- Select "Manage Data".
Name
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Please update:
- Prefix
- First Name
- Preferred First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
UK Address
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Preferred UK Addr Line 1
- Enter office number only, i.e. 100B
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Personal Website
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Scroll to 1st Website/Social Media Account
- Enter your complete website URL, ie. https://www.facultywebsite.com, into the Website Name and Address field. The left field can be blank, the right one should be the URL. The bottom field is only if your website name doesn’t fit one of the premade options provided.
- If you neglect to enter http:// or https:// then your website link will NOT work on the Gatton website. Make sure to include one of the options above in your URL.
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Biography
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Scroll to the "Brief Biography" field – please note you are NOT limited to 30 words or less
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Credential Abbreviations
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Scroll to the "Credential Abbreviations" field
- Enter your highest degree without periods, i.e. PhD
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Title
- General Information – "Personal and Contact Information"
- Scroll to the "Preferred Titles" field
- Please enter your title
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Education
- General Information – "Education"
- Each of your degrees should be listed. If one is missing, please select "Add new item"
- Please be sure that each of your degrees have the correct information for the following:
- Degree Description
- Institution
- Emphasis / Major
- Date Completed (month and year)
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Curriculum vitae (CV)
- To upload your vitae to your faculty profile, go to the Faculty vitae Upload Tool and follow the prompts.
- Once uploaded your vitae should show up immediately. If you still see your old vitae press "shift + F5" while viewing your vita in the browser to refresh your computer's cache.
Intellectual Contributions Includes journal articles, books, book chapters, working papers, manuscripts, magazine/trade publication, etc.
- Scholarship / Research – "Intellectual Contributions"
- Select "Add New Item"
- Select Contribution Type
- Enter Current Status
- Enter Title of Contribution
- Enter Authors
- Select Web Profile Order for Journal Publications you would like to appear within your Web Profile top You must indicate the rank for this publication, if in your top 10, on the row with your name – not your co-authors’ rows.
- Enter Journal Name
- Enter Volume
- Enter Issue Number/Edition
- Enter Page Numbers
- Enter Web Address (if applicable)
- Enter Publication Scope
- Enter Was this peer-reviewed/refereed?
- Enter Expected Date of Submission (CY)
- Enter Date Submitted (CY) – if known
- Enter Date Accepted (CY) – if known
- Enter Date Published (CY) – if known
- Enter Mission Area
- Enter Engagement
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
Journal Publications – Choosing Your Top Ten
- Scholarship / Research – select "Intellectual Contributions"
- Select a publication to appear within your web profile
- Only papers with their Current Status set as Published will be pushed to the website.
- Scroll to where you see your name as an author and indicate the "Web Profile Order" – this ranges from 1 to 10.
- Make sure you use "Web Profile Order" and NOT "Priority Rank."
- Also make sure you’re placing the ranking on the row with YOUR name.
- Hit "Save" at the top of the screen
- Repeat steps 1 – 4 for the remaining 9 publications to appear within your profile
