Monika Causholli has joined the editorial board of Accounting Organizations and Society

Felipe Benguria Published in the Journal of International Economics

Felipe Benguria's paper, "Escaping the trade war: Finance and relational supply chains in the adjustment to trade policy shocks" is forthcoming in the Journal of International Economics. The paper shows how US exports were reallocated in response to foreign tariffs in the context of the 2018-2019 trade war.  Read the paper here.

Two Gatton Students Selected in the 2024 MLB Draft Ryan Waldschmidt and Emilien Pitre were the top two UK players to be selected in this year's draft held in Fort Worth, Texas.

Many Kentucky fans became entranced by the performance of the 2023-2024 UK Baseball team with their outstanding run, including the first College World Series appearance in program history. This historic team also recorded the most wins in a season (46), surpassing the previous record of 45 in 2012.

Jenkins receives runner-up in the Bill Bearden Award at SMS

Michael Jenkins won runner-up in the Bill Bearden Award Competition from the Southeast Marketing Symposium for his paper, "The Small GAIM: How Generative-AI Marketing Impacts the Social Embeddedness of Small Brands." He recently presented his paper at the annual CB CLIK Conference held at the University of Louisville.

Carlos Lamarche, Ph.D., director of graduate studies and Gatton Endowed Professor of Economics in the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics, has been honored as a 2024-25 University Research Professor. Lamarche studies econometrics — a combination of economics, statistics and mathematics that aims to give empirical content to economic relationships. He focuses on the development of estimation methods for a more informative and robust analysis of microeconomic data.
