Our nationally ranked full-time, accelerated One Year MBA program is an immersive, cross-disciplinary, hands-on experience with virtual collaboration designed for recent graduates, young professionals, military and emerging leaders across all academic backgrounds. This program attracts academic backgrounds in engineering, communications, STEM, health sciences, agriculture, arts and sciences, as well as business. The program includes highly interactive, experiential courses situated in the corporate setting through the built-in internship program called Project Connect. Admissions & Preparatory Courses

Submitted applications are considered on a rolling admissions cycle, so it's strongly recommended to apply early. All applications received by the scholarship deadline are automatically considered for general scholarship awards. All scholarships will be based on information collected through the admissions application (no separate scholarship application is required). Project Connect Internship

The cornerstone of the One Year MBA is the unique internship program called Project Connect. For 32 weeks, student teams are paired with companies to work on projects of importance to the companies. These projects focus on core business processes such as: data analysis, marketing research, growth strategies, supply chain management, logistics and operations.

Workshops, Certifications & Concentrations

During the course of the year, UK MBA students will have the opportunity to earn complete workshops in Project Management as well as Global Commerce and Strategy, and earn their Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma certification. Candidates also have the opportunity to take entrepreneurship electives or obtain the full concentration in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation.

Program Description & Curriculum

One Year MBA, a redefining business education experience.

The full-time, accelerated One Year MBA program is shorter and more immersive than most comparable programs. Positioned for both business and non-business majors, the cross-disciplinary curriculum includes courses in marketing, management, and finance; as well as more technical business courses such as quantitative analysis, operations management (supply chain), marketing research, global management, and data analysis. Throughout the program, students will develop valuable skills in areas of: critical thinking and problem-solving skills; communications, both written and presentation skills and teaming and leadership skills. *Tuition will not change while continuously enrolled in program. Includes non-refundable $500 tuition deposit, which is required before the start of program and will be applied to the first semester's tuition.
** Total costs do not include books, online distance learning fees or living expenses. Book estimate is between $2,000 – $2,500. A distance learning fee of $10 per credit hour is charged per course (or elective) that has an online option. Please refer to UK's Registrars page for the most updated tuition/fees. All current rates are subject to change and typically increase each year.
***The policy for determining residency is established by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Council on Post Secondary Education. Students who are unsure of their residency status, should refer to the Registrar’s Office Residency Policy before applying for admission.

Tuition Refunds

Students who withdraw from the program are subject to the Fee Liability Policy as stated on the University of Kentucky Registrar's page. The University Fee Liability Policy is published in the Schedule of Classes and the University Bulletin. Under this policy, students who officially withdraw from the University by canceling his or her registration via myUK or in writing through the Registrar’s Office or withdraws from a course before the first day of the semester as designated in the official University Calendar is entitled to a full refund of registration fees paid or to cancellation of the amount owed for the term.

Funding Options & Scholarships

All applications received by the Priority Scholarship Deadline, January 15, are automatically considered for general scholarship awards. Candidates who apply after the scholarship deadline will be considered through April 1st, as funds are available. All scholarships will be based on information collected through the admissions application. No separate scholarship application is required. Kentucky Scholars Program

The Gatton College of Business and Economics selects qualified students to receive Kentucky Scholars Awards, which are funded by a variety of private endowments. All accepted students and majors into the UK MBA are eligible for this scholarship consideration. These scholarships are limited, and are determined by the MBA Admissions Committee based on the overall competitiveness of a candidate’s application, including GMAT/GRE scores and undergraduate academic achievement. Applicants are encouraged to apply by the first priority scholarship deadline which is January 15. Scholarships can be considered by the MBA Admissions Committee up until the final scholarship deadline which is April 1st (if funds are still available). After April 1st, completed files can still be considered for scholarships (if funds are still available).

University of Kentucky Alumni Scholarships

The University of Kentucky's Alumni Association is pleased to provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students attending the University of Kentucky. During 2017-2018, the UK Alumni Association and Alumni Clubs provided over 150 students with scholarships, ranging from $500 - $2,500. These awards are available through an application process that is independent of the need-based financial aid process. Please click here for more information.
