William L. Fouse is a co-founder of Mellon Capital Management Corporation, its chairman emeritus and a member of its board of directors. He has more than 48 years of diversified experience in the investment management business. In 1999, Mr. Fouse was honored in the Men of the Century article in the magazine Pensions & Investments. They named him among the select group of ten individuals who changed the face of investing. Many give him credit for starting the nation's first index fund. He earned both his B.S. degree in commerce with distinction and his M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky, and was inducted into the University of Kentucky Hall of Distinguished Alumni on May 13, 2005.
