In the Seale Finance Learning Center, students will learn in a technologically advanced classroom which simulates a real trading environment with digital displays that will feed real-time financial and market information. Students will sit in small clusters throughout the room allowing for more collaboration and giving them an introduction to the environment and atmosphere they will be working in following graduation.

All students have access to log into the computers that house the Bloomberg Terminal but you will need a free Bloomberg for Education account. Go to https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/sign_up to create your account. You can access the BMC course/certification content through the account you create and the Bloomberg for Education site. Access the material through the terminals in Seale Center (B&E 260 and B&E 264) will be free.
Once a student creates an account through the link on the site, they will be prompted to pay for the course. To bypass this, students must open the Bloomberg app on the computer and create an account again using the same email. Once they do this and get logged in on the actual terminal, they type “BCER” in the search bar and log in again. After they do this, the website that was prompting a payment will refresh and allow students to access the materials.
When using the Bloomberg Terminals, be courteous and considerate to others in the lab. Minimize conversation, especially if other students are utilizing the Business Analytics Lab help desk hours, which may overlap the Bloomberg open hours. For the BMC certification, bring headphones and allow at least 8 hours in total to complete the course. You can pause the lessons and complete BMC over multiple days. Report any hardware issues to the TA, Gatton IT offices in room 337 or email r2d2@uky.edu.
