If so, you should consider becoming an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Gatton’s Behavioral Research Lab.
As Undergraduate Research Assistants, students participate in an independent study in the Behavioral Research Lab. Each semester Research Assistants learn and apply a variety of research methods in business and the social sciences.
Students may become familiar with concepts and theoretical perspectives across various research domains.
Students will gain exposure to research methods, experimental design, and data analysis.
Students will need to demonstrate competence in basic data management programs such as Excel. Students will also learn analytical techniques using common survey programs such as Qualtrics and Sona.
Students will be expected to demonstrate ethical values in data management, tolerate ambiguity, and reflect professionalism as they underpin the research being conducted.
Emerge from the major with realistic ideas about how to use knowledge, skills, and values in various occupations and in graduate or occupational schools.
