Returning to Gatton College as an Adjunct Professor has been an extremely rewarding opportunity. The students impress me daily and bringing real-time business experience into the classroom is helping prepare them to compete globally upon graduation.

Kevin Young has been a vital part of the Big Ass Fans organization since 2008 when he arrived with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. During his tenure, he has served in a number of increasingly impactful roles, including Inside and Outside Sales, National Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, and Director of Strategic Sales. Kevin demonstrates passion and dedication to improving his customers’ comfort and efficiency, which, coupled with experience across a variety of applications, gives him the insight to build trusted, effective solutions. He has thrived as a facilitator, managing groups of up to 130 employees. His teams have specialized in helping clients improve their workers’ comfort, safety, and job satisfaction. The knowledge and experience Kevin possesses is instrumental in developing key client relationships. He remains eager to demonstrate Big Ass Fans’ industry expertise and commitment to providing effective solutions for their growing roster of valued customers. Kevin's current role at Big Ass Fans is Director of Cool-Space, a company acquisition in which he and his team have grown from $4M to an estimated $40-$50M in 3 years. In the Spring of 2023, Kevin was an Adjunct Professor for MKT410 Personal Selling at Gatton College of Business & Economics. In a course he personally took in 2006 with Professor Hapke, Kevin was thrilled at the opportunity to give back to his alma mater and help teach a course he is passionate about. He looks forward to returning to the classroom in the Fall of 2023.
