Hassan Niazi CMA
Lecturer
Hassan K. Niazi, CMA, is a lecturer at the Von Allmen School of Accountancy of the Gatton College of Business and Economics. He has been studying accounting since 8th grade and has over a decade of teaching experience in the field. Dr. Niazi received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree in 2011 and a Master of Science in Accounting degree in 2013 from the University of Texas at Dallas. He later received a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration - Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota where his dissertation topic was “Mission Perspective Framework: Using Allocation Ratios to Determine Mission-Focus of South Dakota Regental Universities.” Dr. Niazi is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) through the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and SAP Certified Associate through the SAP Global.
Dr. Niazi’s professional experience includes hospitality accounting, government and non-profit auditing, and management analysis. His consulting experience includes small business management, personal financial management, and financial analysis. Since 2013, Dr. Niazi has been teaching various undergraduate and graduate level courses including financial, managerial, cost, and non-profit accounting as well as auditing, taxation, and accounting systems and analytics. He joined the University of Kentucky faculty in 2024.
