Current seniors interested in obtaining the CFA certification:

The early registration deadline for the June 2018 exam has been extended to Wednesday, September 27.

The total fees for first time test takers are $1,100. This is composed of two parts: test fees of $650 (includes eBook, practice questions and mock exams) and a one-time registration fee of $450. A physical copy of the book is an additional $150 plus shipping and handling.

The finance faculty hosted the second annual PNC Finance Conference at Gatton College April 28-29, 2017. Twelve papers were presented, selected from 320 submissions. Participants came from all over the world, including Hong Kong, Melbourne, Lisbon, Stockholm, and Vancouver. Lauren Cohen, the L.E. Kenny Domilise, a senior analyst at Kentucky Teacher’s Retirement System (TRS), visited FIN 485 on April 24 and will speak to the Finance Society on April 25. TRS-KY is part of the state pension system, with approximately $18 billion in assets. Kenny’s responsibilities at TRS-KY include portfolio management and credit analysis. He was a Co-founder and Director of Research of Water Tower Investments, LLC.

t's clear that UK football wide receiver Charles Walker is guided by an unbridled work ethic. After beginning his college career as a walk-on, the Louisville native earned a scholarship last fall. 

"I felt like I had the chip on my shoulder to come in and work a little bit harder than the next person," Walker said. 

But that work ethic doesn’t end on the football field. Walker is currently working towards a double major in finance and marketing in the Gatton College of Business and Economics, earning multiple spots on the SEC Academic Honor Roll along the way.
