W. Rodney McMullen is Chairman and CEO of The Kroger Co. He joined the company as a full-time employee in 1982 as an accounting trainee. Prior to his current position he held numerous other positions, including assistant treasurer, vice president of Planning and Capital Management, chief financial officer, senior vice president, president and chief operating officer. Mr. McMullen earned his B.S. in accounting and B.B.A. in finance in 1981, and his M.S. in accounting in 1982 from the University of Kentucky.
