David Thurston is the owner and principal of NetMOVE, a moving and storage company with locations in Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is a CPA with over 35 years of experience in managing complex financial service operations in large corporate organizations, including 20 years at Emory University in Atlanta. David also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emory Alliance Credit Union.

As the first in their respective families to attend college, David and Rosemarie Thurston greatly credit the University of Kentucky and Gatton College of Business with their success. To show their appreciation, the couple established the Thurston Scholar scholarship in 2018.
