Welcome to the first Simon Says of 2019! My first semester at the Gatton College has been rewarding in so many ways, and I’ve appreciated the warm welcome I’ve received from alumni across the Commonwealth and the U.S. And of course, we all enjoyed our outstanding football season!
This month’s video focuses on Gatton’s experiential learning program for MBA students, Project Connect. I hope you enjoy hearing from director Karl Gustafson and current students about how this type of hands-on learning has prepared them for the next stage in their careers.
I also would like to personally invite you to two major events Gatton's Don and Cathy Jacobs Executive Education Center is hosting in February. Our 30th Annual Economic Outlook Conference is Feb. 13 at the Lexington Convention Center, and features Dr. Loretta J. Mester, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
The 9th Annual Supply Chain Forum on Feb. 28 at Kroger Field’s Woodford Reserve Club welcomes Abercrombie & Fitch’s Larry Grischow and Corby Ward, along with supply chain experts from Coca-Cola, FedEx, Tempur Sealy, DHL and more.
Keep an eye out for the next update! I look forward to seeing you at either of our February events, or anytime you’d like to visit your college.
All the best,
Simon Sheather
