Bratten, Chen, Peloza Assume New Roles Effective July 1

Effective July 1, 2021, three Gatton College faculty members assumed new roles.

Brian Bratten is the new director for the Von Allmen School of Accountancy. Brian joined the University of Kentucky in 2009 after receiving a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a BBA in accounting and an MS in finance from Texas A&M University and is a CPA. He was awarded the inaugural Gatton College Research Excellence Award for Productivity in 2017. 

Allan Chen is the department chair of the Marketing and Supply Chain department. A University Research Professor and holder of the Gatton Endowed Chair, Dr. Chen's research interests focus on examining consumer and managerial decision making. His research has been published in Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, Information Systems Research, Strategic Management Journal, and many others. He has served as the Gatton College's Interim Associate Dean for Research.

John Peloza is the Associate Dean for Research. Dr. Peloza’s research focuses on corporate social responsibility and prosocial consumer behavior. His work has been published in many leading marketing and management journals. Before pursuing an academic career, he worked for over a decade in the marketing communications industry with firms such as InBev, IBM, Subaru, Hewlett-Packard, and Procter & Gamble.
