Depaul University Athletics named UK MBA student Taylor Stapleton as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Revenue Generation and Strategic Initiatives

DePaul University's new Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy announced that University of Kentucky MBA student at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, Taylor Stapleton, as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Revenue Generation and Strategic Initiatives and will serve as a member of the department's senior staff. 
 
"I've had the privilege to work directly with Taylor for a number of years at Kentucky, and I've witnessed first-hand his commitment and passion for generating revenue in college athletics' fast paced environment." Peevy said. "I've pledged to our student-athletes, staff and fans that we are going to 'Dream Big' at DePaul. Financial resources are often necessary to turn those dreams into realities. The creation of this role will better position us to do just that and allow us to adapt to a changing landscape. Taylor's expertise, dedication, and strategic mind will be essential as we look to pursue an ambitious path of growth."
 
In addition to leading revenue generation efforts and strategic initiatives for DePaul, Stapleton will oversee the ticket operations, sales, and communications departments while also serving as administrator for the softball and men's tennis programs.

Most recently, Stapleton was the Senior Director of Provider Relationships and Education for Healthcare Business Media, producers of national healthcare conventions and events. He facilitated strategic partnerships with chief executives from top U.S. hospitals and health systems with the aim of creating collaborative events that advanced healthcare policy, operations, and industry growth.
 
Prior to joining Healthcare Business Media, Stapleton worked at the University of Kentucky Athletics Department for nearly eight years, most recently as Associate Director of Ticketing Strategy and Analytics. As part of UK Athletics' revenue generation leadership team, Stapleton collaborated with senior administrators to ideate and execute strategies that directly impacted revenue generation. He piloted efforts to identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies that assisted in meeting Kentucky's revenue goals. Stapleton championed Kentucky's ticketing strategy development by integrating data and analytics to create innovative experiences and consumer offerings that meet the needs of today's evolving fan.
 
While at Kentucky, Stapleton also oversaw the planning, budgeting, and execution of the Wildcats' comprehensive digital marketing strategy. He was integral in revamping Kentucky's ticket pricing structure, facilitating the reseating of the Wildcats' 67,000-seat football stadium and 23,000-seat basketball arena, and in implementing industry-leading digital ticketing technology at six venues while in his term at Kentucky. 
 
He received his bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in sports leadership from the University of Kentucky, where he is currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration in the Professional MBA program
