Laura Puentes

Laura firmly believes in the power of communication and relationship building. Her interest in interpersonal communication has given her the possibility to strengthen her relationship with students to assist them and walk with them toward success. Laura moved to the United States from Colombia to earn her master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas in Denton where she also worked as a Teaching Assistant. Laura enjoys doing research, creating workshops to strengthen communication skills, and presenting her work at conferences. While being in her master's program, she was awarded with the Ralph Cooley award given by the National Communication Association for top paper in the International and Intercultural division. In her free time, Laura enjoys CrossFit, loves Colombian coffee and exploring new places.
