Gatton Student Ambassadors to Host Golf Networking Event

Inaugural Gatton Golf Scramble - Monday, April 10 at 11:00am The Gatton Ambassadors, an organization of outstanding students in University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics, will host a special event centering on golf on Monday, April 10, at the University Club of Kentucky, located off of Leestown Road.

Registration for the inaugural Gatton Golf Scramble is open now through March 21 to current undergraduate upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) in the Gatton College. Students will join with business professionals, including Gatton alumni, and several faculty members for an afternoon of lunch, golf and networking. The registration site can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/GattonGolfScramble.

“Business often happens on the golf course,” said Gatton Ambassador and accounting senior David Helton, who is chairing the event. “We believe this golf scramble and related activities will provide an excellent introduction for students to experience how golf can be a wonderful way to build business relationships and foster goodwill with colleagues and clients.”

Net proceeds from the event will go toward funding scholarships for current Gatton undergraduate students.

Lead Gatton Ambassador and senior marketing and management major Mollie Cunningham is spearheading publicity efforts for the Gatton Golf Scramble.

“Check-in at the University Club on April 10 will begin at 11:30 a.m.,” Cunningham said. “We anticipate wrapping up the event by about 6 p.m. And you don’t have to be a great golfer to take part. The focus is on our soon-to-be graduates getting a feel for the important role golf can play in a business career.”

Again the deadline for registration at https://tinyurl.com/GattonGolfScramble is Tuesday, March 21.
